Thermoplastic Processing

M. Sc. (hons) Merve Aksit has joined the Department of Polymer Engineering as a scientific staff member in the thermoplastic processing group in July 2016. She currently focuses on morphology control of polypropylene via supramolecular polymer additives.

Ms. Demir received her B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering at Izmir Institute of Technology in 2013. In her bachelor thesis, she developed bioactive films from composite materials for food packaging applications.

Between October 2013 and June 2016, Ms. Aksit studied the Elite Masters Program "Advanced Materials and Processes" (MAP) in Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) with main focuses of advanced processes, biomaterials and bioprocessing. She successfully completed her masters study with the thesis "Effect of acrylonitrile content and the molecular weight of SAN on the properties of PC/ABS blends" which was carried out at the Department of Polymer Engineering, University of Bayreuth.
