MSc. Jacqueline Uhm joins the Department of Polymer Engineering as a research technical staff since January 2001.
Ms. Uhm received a Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle (USA) in 1989. She earned her Master of Science degree in 1994 with emphasis in polymers from the Materials Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara (USA). For her master degree program, her thesis title is “Orientation of dichroic azo dyes and polydiacetylenes in gel-processed films of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene”. Between 1997 and 2000, she worked in the Mechanical T esting and Thermal Labs under the Department of Metallic Materials at the University of Bayreuth. Since 2001, she has been working with the Department of Polymer Engineering, initially in the area of Thermal Analysis and is presently supporting the group in the rheology lab.
