In addition to our lectures, we teach application-related and practical content in Laboratory practicals and internships. In this way, our students gain their first experience in the processing and testing of polymer materials.

Laboratory practicals take place as part of the corresponding lectures and are organized by us. They usually consist of several experiments that are carried out on specific days.

We offer laboratory practicals for the following lectures:

  • Plastics Processing (B.Sc. MatWerk)
  • Material mechanics and Testing (B.Sc. MatWerk, B.Sc. Wing, B.Sc. EngSci, M.Sc. Sports Technology)
  • Structure and Properties of Polymer Materials (B.Sc. MatWerk)
  • Polymer Technology (B.Sc. PolKol)
  • Plastics Technology (M.Sc. MatWerk, M.Sc. Sports Technology)
P104 Polymer Materials and Technology (M.Sc. Polymer Science, M.Sc. DSMSE)
  • Data Science for Polymers (M.Sc. DSMSE)

In internships and research modules, students can work on a current research topic under the 1-to-1 supervision of a doctoral student.

Internships can be completed with us within the following lectures or modules:

  • P301/P302 Research Module I and II (M.Sc. Polymer Science)
  • P205 Polymer Technology (M.Sc. Polymer Science)
  • RM1/RM2 Research Modules I and II (M.Sc. DSMSE)
  • Research Modules I and II (M.Sc. MatWerk)
